A Spiritual Child
V:4 N:24
“He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 18:2-4
Many of you might just be starting this journey to a closer relationship with God…you are a child in this message, be sure you have the heart and humility of a child! Think about it – notice that children do not usually concentrate on other children, but on what they themselves are doing and are trying to learn. Children ask for help easily if they come to an area where their skills are weak; the toddler learning to walk loves to hold someone’s hand! They don’t let pride get in the way. Children who do try to act like adults and tell adults what to do are prideful and arrogant and unpleasant to be around. If you are a child in this message, don’t pretend to be an adult telling everyone else what to do and judging everyone! Be the spiritual child that you are, so that those who are spiritually mature can help you. If you do this, you will quickly learn to walk on your own and will not need to hold someone’s hand later in your spiritual walk.
