V:4 N:37

“…make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 1:5-8

Being Spirit-led must come from within, and it must come from a heart that is wholeheartedly devoted to God. Notice that Peter did not say to “make every effort to be someplace” or “to go build something” or “to go accomplish some deed.” He said we are to make every effort TO ADD TO THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT.

And THAT is what will keep us from being ineffective and unproductive! My prayer is that all of us will make every effort to add to the fruits of the Spirit this week so that God’s Kingdom will be advanced. The world is starved for this, and they are starving to see people who are REAL. Keep this up in advancing measure as time passes, and those around you will see that you are real and that God is GREAT!
