V:4 N:38

…Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Galatians 5:25

More on the Spirit today! You know, people often say, “The Spirit led me here or there…,” but they rarely will say, “I was so Spirit-led today – I was gentle all day and full of joy!” We must all understand that being Spirit-led is a characteristic that comes out in your actions throughout the day, not just in one small thing. Think about it – why would God’s Spirit lead someone who was filled with anger or hate or envy or lust and have them go do a job in His Kingdom? But if someone is filled with God’s love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness and faithfulness in increasing measure, even in the midst of hard days, you know that God will lead him and guide him, for he is a person who will advance His Kingdom. Anyone can be kind for a while or gentle if it benefits themselves…but it takes time to see the true motive behind someone’s actions and to see that someone is kind to others because they are faithful to God FIRST, and not for selfish reasons. Be Spirit-led from the heart today, out of love for God FIRST, and then you can stay in step with the Spirit!
