What got you out of bed this morning? What was the first thing on your mind? Was it the thought of getting to food? Stress about your job? Worry about money? The thought of drugs, alcohol, or a person other than your spouse? The thought that “at least it’s Friday”? Well, when you are truly in love with The Holy Lord and not yourself, you awaken with GOD on your mind and a heart filled with thankfulness for another day! You are ready for tests and trials, because you know that living your life for God’s will and not your own – dying to your own selfish desires — will draw you closer to the Father. You get up and ask God what HE wants done today! This is HIS day, not your day! And you need God’s lead for the full 24-hour day, not just until 5pm….and EVERY day, never thinking that “the weekend belongs to me.” Awaken by giving this day to God, and you will see how blessed it will be — read Psalm 121 for a great description!
