Only Two Categories

“No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”
Luke 16:13

If you’ve been in Weigh Down, you know that there are two categories: we are either in the category of those who hate God or the category of those who love God. There is no middle ground. If you LOVE the food, you will automatically despise suggestions for eating LESS food. You will find the task hard to do. You won’t even want to TRY it, and instead you will keep asking others to explain to you “how” to eat less food. You will ask questions like, “What does Gwen really mean by empty?” or “What does dying to my will mean?” Again, there are only two categories, and unless you stop loving the food and turn your love onto God alone, you cannot comprehend serving Him wholeheartedly. But when you make that change and turn away from the food, everything will become so clear, and serving God will become easy and joyful!
